Résumé

I am an experienced editor with decades of experience as a wordsmith. From an early focus on creative writing to a master's degree in literature to my professional philanthropic work to my 9+ years as a freelance editor, working with words is a polestar for me.

As an editor with Heidi Dorr Literary Services, I provide editing expertise for four services: manuscript evaluation; developmental editing; authenticity/diversity reading; and proofreading.

I've edited 60+ books to date and am equally proficient with finely detailed work such as proofreading and macro-level editing services such as developmental editing and manuscript evaluations.  As an authenticity reader, I accurately and respectfully identify bias, stereotypes, inaccurate language, and provide in-depth feedback with online links for additional reference.

I possess a native command of the English language and have a bachelor's (BA) and a master's (MA) degree in literature with concentrations in the fine arts.

I am a respectful, clear communicator and meet all deadlines with ease.  I enjoy working with independent authors, publishers, organizations, and businesses. I'm an accomplished team player with a high level of professional integrity.
